Module 1 (Practicals & Theory)
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations): You will explore and practice 3 types of Surya Namaskars.
Asanas (Yoga Poses): You will learn and practice over 70 yoga asanas, including detailed instruction on breath synchronization, gazing points, key alignment principles, contraindications, benefits, entering and exiting each pose, as well as modifications and variations to accommodate different body types and abilities.
Pranayama (Breathing Techniques): The course will introduce you to five pranayama techniques, including Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing), Seetali (Cooling Breath), Sheetkari (Hissing Breath), Bhramari (Bee Breath), and Ujjayi (Victorious Breath). These practices help regulate the breath, calm the mind, and cultivate prana (life force energy).
Mudras and Bandhas: You will explore the use of hand gestures known as mudras and energy locks called bandhas.
Pratyahara (Withdrawal of Senses): The course will guide you through practices to cultivate pratyahara. Through specific techniques, you will learn to turn your focus inward, promoting inner stillness and concentration.
Dharana (Concentration) and Dhyana (Meditation): You will engage in exercises to develop concentration (dharana) and meditation (dhyana) skills. These practices aim to quiet the mind, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate a state of calm and clarity.
Kriyas (Purification Techniques): The course includes 2 kriyas, namely Jala Neti (nasal cleansing using water) and Sutra Neti (nasal cleansing using a special thread). These practices help purify the nasal passages, enhance respiratory health, and prepare the body for pranayama and meditation practices.
